    Franklin High School

Franklin High School is a large, public urban high school respected for its traditions of student and community involvement and academic preparedness. The student body is a richly diverse balance of ethnicity and culture: 51% Asian descent, 33% African American, 7% Caucasian, 8% Latino, and 1% American Indian.

Franklin students spend their school years learning with and about students of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Thus our graduates, in addition to being high caliber academically, receive another enriching educational experience - that of community - learning to live and get along in a complex urban society.

Energy and persistence conquer all things.

To graduate students who have achieved academic excellence and who look forward to sharing their expertise, understanding, and compassion to create an increasingly peaceful and productive society.

    Our Vision

Franklin High School provides an inclusive, safe, and academically challenging environment for all students.

    Franklin Small Learning Communities

Students at our school are not only Franklin High School students, but also members of small learning communities, or academies. Small learning communities increase professional collaboration, improve content-area integration, and foster student engagement. The academy model focuses on comprehensive skill development while simultaneously generating increased student engagement and meaningful applications of student learning. A variety of co-curricular and student activities compliment our academy model.

More information about the small learning communities can be found in the ACADEMICS section.
