Information for 9th Grade Students and Families
    Posted on 08/16/2019

    Welcome to the Quaker Family!

We are very excited that your scholar will be attending Franklin High School and we look forward to meeting your scholar during 9th Grade Orientation and Summer Bridge. Our school participates in the nationwide Link Crew Program, an organization whose sole purpose is to help 9th grade students feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of high school.

The Link Crew 9th grade orientation and transition program is designed to both welcome and support 9th graders by assigning them a junior or senior Link Leader as a mentor during this first year. This Link Leader is a responsible older scholar who was hand selected from a large pool of applicants and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader on our campus.

9th Grade Orientation and Summer Bridge

    • Tuesday, September 3rd
      • 8:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in FHS Gymnasium – Lunch provided
      • 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Main Building – Purchase ASB, yearbook, etc.
    • Wednesday, September 4th
      • 8:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in Auditorium

SCHOLARS NEED TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS!

    • Your child is encouraged NOT to bring backpacks, purses or other like items as the days are quite active.
    • Because the days are active, please make sure that your child wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
    • This is a student-only function so we encourage you to let your child attend on their own. Please feel free, however, to attend the PARENT COFFEE HOUR on Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in the Commons (main building).
