PSAT Test/College Readiness Day - Wednesday October 16th

Wednesday October 16th will be our annual PSAT/College Readiness Day. Starting at 8:45 a.m., all students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT test at FHS. The PSAT is a national test that awards scholarships to high achieving students and connects students to post-secondary opportunities. Ninth grade students will be taking a practice version of the test, while all students in Grades 10 and 11 will be taking the full version of the test.

Testing will run from 8:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Testing students will report to their Advisory classes at 8:45 a.m. Late students will not be permitted to take the test. We recommend that students bring snacks for breaks and their own calculators for the exam.

During the morning, Seniors will be attending workshops in the FHS Library and computer labs to assist in planning for life beyond graduation, including workshops on the FAFSA, scholarship searches, college applications and college and career explorations. Once testing is completed at 1:00 p.m., all students will be dismissed for lunch and then have a STAR period for students seeking help from teachers on assignments.
