    AP EXAMS

    Students can now sign up to take Advanced Placement exams this Spring at Franklin High School.  FHS will be hosting the following AP exams: Calculus, Chemistry, Chinese Language, Computer Science, English Literature, Environmental Science, Human Geography, Physics, Spanish Language, Statistics and US Government.  The registration fee is $102 per exam or $15.00 for students eligible for free or reduced lunch.

    Registration runs from now until Wednesday, February 27, 2019.  Students can register for exams at the link below:

    Students can pay for exam fees on the SOURCE via the SchoolPay option, or can pay via cash or check with Ms. Libert in the Attendance Office.  Students seeking to take exams in other subjects need to see Mr. Jeffreys in Room 212 so he can connect them with a school that offers that exam.



    IMPORTANT FHS TESTING DATES 2019


    FEBRUARY 11-15 -  ELPA 21 TESTING –
    All FHS English language Learner students will be taking this computer-based assessment to determine their English language acquisition levels. 

    MARCH 6 – SAT IN THE SCHOOL DAY (JUNIORS ONLY) -  All Grade 11 students will be taking the SAT college entrance exam.  All other grades will remain in regularly-scheduled classes.  Testing will take place in the gym.

    MARCH 25 – 27 -  GRADE 10- SMARTER BALANCED ELA TEST -  All Grade 10 students will be testing in order to meet state graduation requirements in English Language Arts. 

    APRIL 1 - 5 – GRADE 11 & 12 SMARTER BALANCED ELA TEST - Only students who have not previously met ELA college-readiness standards for graduation purposes will be testing. 

    MAY 6 – 17 – AP TESTING.  We will be holding AP tests in Calculus, Chemistry, Chinese Language, Computer Science, English Literature, Environmental Science, Human Geography, Physics, Spanish Language, Statistics, and US Government. Testing will generally be in the Library or Auditorium.

    MAY 22 -  GRADE 11 WCAS SCIENCE TEST –  All Grade 11 students are testing to measure skills in the Next Generation Science Standards for federal accountability standards . 

    MAY 28 – JUNE 1 – GRADE 11 & 12 SMARTER BALANCED MATH TEST – All grade 11 and 12 students who did not pass SBA math last year will be testing this week. 

    JUNE 3 – 5 – GRADE 10 SMARTER BALANCED MATH TEST -  All Grade 10 students will be testing in order to meet state graduation requirements in Math. 



    College Entrance Tests (ACT, COMPASS, MPT, SAT)

    If you are a junior and have not signed up to take one of these tests, and plan to apply to a 4 year college, sign up in the Spring. Fee waivers for these tests are available (from your counselor) for students who have free or reduced lunch.

    If you are a senior, plan to take the SAT or ACT once more in the Fall to make sure you have your best score available for colleges.

    COMPASS Test

    FHS Running Start students take the COMPASS Test. The COMPASS is an untimed, computerized test used by the community colleges to place you in the correct math and English courses.
