    2019 Spring Musical
    Town Hall Meeting

Thursday Jan 17th @ 5:30PM in the auditorium

Please join us for a discussion about the musical In The Heights. The show is written from a LatinX/ Dominican/ Puerto Rican perspective about immigration to the U.S. We will be discussing the show origins, the author's intent for high schools, and whether Franklin can present this musical in a way that honors both the author's intent and meets the needs of our community.
We will have a panel of local theater professionals, activist, and students to present and have a Q & A.
There will be a small group breakout session to discuss the play. We will also collect ideas about what sort of plays the Franklin community would like to see or not see us do in the future. We will then return to the entire group to share out.
Ultimately, we will decide what the outcome of our spring musical title will be based upon this town hall meeting discussion, so your input is essential.

Please come and listen, share your thoughts, and be a vital part of the Franklin Quaker community.
