As a Link Leader, you are expected to maintain a positive relationship with 9th grade throughout the year. You are building a community and making connections. This year we are offering two levels to Link Crew – Big Event and Yearlong.

Yearlong: If you select Yearlong, you get to plan, attend, and invite your Link Crew to events. You will also be enrolled in a Link Leader Advisory. Events may include: We Scare Hunger, We Day, 9th Grade Celebrations, STAR break activities, sporting events, finals review sessions, etc. 100% attendance at all Link Crew events is expected.

Yearlong Link Leaders will also sometimes lead advisory activities. We will train you as a team to deliver lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. Topics for lessons can include building relationships, study skills, resolving conflict, and getting connected at FHS.

Big Event: If you select Big Event, you are interested in the main events such as 9th grade orientation. You will receive hours for those days and will be informed of any other big events in which more help is needed. You will also get to be involved in activities planned by the Yearlong Link Leaders, but Big Event is less of a commitment. You will also not be in the Link Crew Advisory.
