FHS Assessments
State Testing
The following tests are coming up soon to meet federal testing requirements and help students meet state graduation pathways:

SBA Retake Opportunities
GRADE 11 & 12 Students seeking to retake SBA this year to meet graduation requirements need to complete THIS FORM to let Mr. Jeffreys know they plan to test! Those tests will be held in early May for ELA and June for Math.

College Entrance Tests (ACT, COMPASS, MPT, SAT)
For questions regarding College Entrance Tests, contact your counselor for more information.
If you are a junior and have not signed up to take one of these tests, and plan to apply to a 4 year college, sign up in the Spring. Fee waivers for these tests are available (from your counselor) for students who have free or reduced lunch.
If you are a senior, plan to take the SAT or ACT once more in the Fall to make sure you have your best score available for colleges.

SPS School Day PSAT
These tests are offered to all Juniors free of charge in October; no pre-registration is required. The PSAT helps Juniors prepare for the SAT and is used to qualify students for scholarships and advanced learning opportunities.
SPS School Day SAT
The SAT is typically offered to all Seniors free of charge in October; no pre-registration is required. The SAT exam can be used both for college admission and for meeting state graduation pathways requirements.

Placement Tests
FHS Running Start students take a placement Test.
Previous Testing Announcements
On the morning of Friday October 17th, all FHS students will be taking part in activities to prepare for life after high school!
Grade 12– All students will be taking the SAT college entrance exam at FHS. Students will meet in their Advisory classes, unless directed to other locations.
Grade 11 – All students will be taking the PSAT/NSMQT exam to measure college readiness and confer scholarship opportunities. Students will meet in their Advisory classes, unless directed to other locations.
Grades 9 & 10 – All students will be attending the NACAC National College Fair at the Seattle Convention Center to explore hundreds of possible options for post-secondary opportunities.
Students have automatically been registered for these activities for that morning. Students will have an abbreviated six-period schedule in the afternoon. Stay tuned for more details! PSAT/SAT Registration Check-in
ALL Students in Grades 11 and 12 will need to attend their Advisory class on Wed 10/8 with their laptops to do the PSAT and SAT “Student Readiness Check”. This will make sure you don’t have any tech delays on test day and get students access to test preview and test prep materials.
Students wishing to take AP exams at Franklin High School must complete both exam registration and payment by the end of the day Friday October 31!
Registration: Students register for exams at College Board using the join code given by their classroom teacher!
Payment: Fees are $125 per exam or $20 per exam for students eligible for free or reduced lunch. Students and families can pay on SchoolPay on the family SOURCE page or through links provided by their classroom teacher. Students can also pay in person with Ms. Leverenz, FHS Fiscal Specialist, in the Main Office. Students can pay in cash or checks payable to Franklin High School.
