AIM Seattle
Agency Description: AIM Seattle enriches the lives of people in the disability community through active engagement with and access to movement and the arts. AIM Seattle is always looking for more volunteers to participate in our programs! Our volunteers are an incredibly valuable part of every class and camp, and often the number one thing that group members look forward to each and every week.

Community Lunch on Capitol Hill
Agency Description: Community Lunch on Capitol Hill provides hot, nutritious meals and survival services to those enduring homelessness and economic hardship. Our meals are open to all in a warm, welcoming environment. No sign-up is ever required to eat with us. We are open for meals during the holidays and in inclement weather.

Denise Louie Education Center
Agency Description: Fifty percent of children in our state enter kindergarten unprepared. Low-income and immigrant children who enter kindergarten fare even worse at 74% below expected language, communication, and literacy assessments. Denise Louie Education Center provides multicultural early learning and family support services to help prepare Seattle kids and families for kindergarten and success in school and life.

Agency Description: We are a thrift store located on Capitol Hill, and we are supporting the nonprofit Everly Seattle, which is a new environmental nonprofit focused on helping local communities reduce waste by integrating sustainable habits into their everyday lives.

Heart’n Soul Hospice
Agency Description: At Heart’n Soul Hospice, we start as strangers with our patients and then become family. Immanuel Community Services
Agency Description: Immanuel Community Services (ICS) has been serving those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the greater Seattle/South Lake Union community for 45 years through our four programs – SLU Food Bank at ICS , ICS Hygiene Center , a residential ICS Recovery Shelter and Community Lunch & Meal program.

Agency Description: Kawabe Memorial House is a senior housing and independent living facility for seniors 62 years and older.

Kline Galland Home
Agency Description: Part of the Kline Galland Circle of Care, Kline Galland Home is the only Jewish long-term skilled nursing facility in Washington State and warmly welcomes all faiths. A part of the Seward Park neighborhood for over 100 years, Kline Galland Home currently offers major areas of care: long-term skilled nursing care, short-term care and rehabilitation, memory care and hospice focused care. Residents have the option of engaging in a wide variety of life enrichment activities, such as art, music, games, etc.

Low Income Housing Institute
Agency Description: The Low Income Housing Institute develops, owns and operates housing for the benefit of low-income, homeless and formerly homeless people in Washington state; advocates for just housing policies at the local and national levels; and administers a range of supportive service programs to assist those we serve in maintaining stable housing and increasing their self-sufficiency. In 2015, LIHI started building Tiny House Villages as a response to the homelessness crisis and as a replacement for tents. Tiny houses offer tremendous benefits over tents – they are safe, weatherproof and lockable – and the Tiny House Villages allow residents to reclaim their dignity and get on a path to permanent housing, employment and connection to supportive services.

Mary’s Place – 3 locations across King County
Agency Description: Mary’s Place is a nonprofit organization that empowers homeless women, children, and families to reclaim their lives. Mary’s Place opened in 1999 as a drop-in day center for single homeless women in downtown Seattle. In response to the increasing numbers of women and families with children experiencing homelessness, Mary’s Place opened its first emergency family night shelter in 2011 and currently operates one family shelter providing more than 200 individual beds. This shelter operates as a 24/7 Family Center that provides housing, employment, and wellness services each day for families experiencing homelessness.

North Helpline
Company/Organization Description: North Helpline is a non-profit organization that works to alleviate hunger and crisis in our community by providing basic human resources such as nutritious food, hygiene items, baby supplies, financial support to avoid eviction or utility shut-off, and other services. North Helpline was founded in 1989 by a group of citizens concerned about the welfare of their neighbors. North Helpline now serves over 3,000 unduplicated households each year and distributes over one million pounds of food through the food bank. Since its inception, it has been their mission to help ensure everyone has food on their table and a roof over their head. We strive to deliver our services to those in need with both dignity and respect.

- Position Descriptions: A variety of tasks that include: Food distribution client check-in, assisting clients with the transportation of their groceries to their cars by carts, restocking food crates on the distribution line, sorting food donations, helping in the baby cupboard area, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Pike Market Food Bank
Agency Description: The Pike Market Food Bank provides groceries to those in need in the downtown and Pike Market area. We strive to be a reliable, stable food resource for anyone in our community.
- Position Title: Food Bank Support
- Position Description: Food Bank Support, Onsite, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with extended hours until 7 pm on Wednesday. There are several tasks and roles a volunteer could help with on-site at the food bank, from passing out groceries to packing deliveries to picking up and sorting donations. There are many different things the food bank may need help with that can suit a variety of different skill sets. We have both client-facing and back-of-house positions, all of which still allow you to connect with and support our community.

Youth Tutoring Program-Catholic Community Services
Agency Description: Youth Tutoring Program-Catholic Community Services/YTP has five tutoring centers located within low and mixed-income public housing communities: High Point (West Seattle), Lake City Court Apartments (Lake City),New Holly (Beacon Hill), Rainier Vista (Columbia City), Yesler Terrace (First Hill). The Youth Tutoring Program is an after-school educational enrichment program for first through twelfth grade students who live in five low-income housing communities in Seattle.
- Position Title: Volunteer Tutor
- Position Description: Each volunteer tutor commits to a weekly tutoring session(s) at one of our five tutoring centers – a minimum of 1 hour a week while most students volunteer 2 hours per week. During the one-hour tutoring session, volunteer tutors work one on one or in small groups with students on reading, skill building in math and English Language Arts, and homework help. Volunteers also serve as role models and mentors to the students because tutors work with the same students each week. YTP students are diverse, representing many cultures, languages, and religions.
