Service Learning and Community Programs
Interim CDA recruiting onsite for their WILD Leadership Development Program
Interim CDA will be onsite tabling at Franklin outside of the Commons on Thursday, January 18 during lunch and advisory periods for their Summer Wilderness Inner-City Leadership Development (WILD) Programs.
Through an experiential education model, WILD fosters confident, informed, compassionate, civically-engaged refugee and immigrant youth leaders. Annually, WILD primarily serves low-income Asian and Pacific Islanders ages 14-19, through their year-round environmental justice leadership development program.
WILD Youth critically deconstruct the way systemic racism leads to communities of color bearing the brunt of environmental injustice and climate change. WILD grounds youth in their community through strengthening ties with elders. They believe intergenerational learning deepens youths’ commitment to service and leads to a deeper cultural connection and understanding.
More information about Interim CDA WILD Leadership Development Program or stop by their table in front of the Commons on Thursday, January 18 during your lunch period.
If you are unable to stop by, contact WILD Program Manager Sky Kili at skili@interimcda.org to learn more about joining their year-round or upcoming summer programs.
