Attend the Black College Expo on January 18, and write an essay by January 6 for Scholarship money

The National College Resource Foundation is once again hosting the Seattle Black College Expo Saturday January 18, 2025 at Rainier Beach High School from 10am to 3pn. Juniors and Seniors planning to attend the Expo also have the opportunity to win scholarship money by writing and submitting an essay by January 6, 2025 at 11pm.

The Expo will feature over 50 colleges offering on-the-spot college admissions, so make sure you bring copies of your transcript. All application fees will be waived if you apply with them that day. The Expo will also feature surprise celebrity guests, prizes, and free food. Register for Seattle Black College Expo to attend.

If you are interested in winning up to $2500 in scholarship money, write an essay of 500 words or less on the topic “Why is a college education important to me” and submit it through the online application by January 6 at 11pm.

HBCU-Bound Seniors Can Apply Now for a $40,000 STEM Scholarship

If you answered yes, FOSSI may be for you. FOSSI, Future of STEM Scholars Initiative, funds 4-year scholarships of $10,000 per year for students majoring in STEM related fields at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Additionally, FOSSI connects students to leadership development, mentoring and internship opportunities at participating companies.

The BE Project Prepares students for an HBCU Future

The BE Project Promotes Black Excellence through tours of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) and workshops to help students prepare.

The BE Project provides professional, organized, and memorable trips at an affordable price. Tour chaperones are experienced and dedicated to providing students a college preparatory experience.

There are still spots available on the East Coast tour, which will visit the following institutions In Virginia: Hampton University, Virginia State University, Norfolk State University and Virginia Union University, and in Washington D.C,: Howard University, The University of District of Columbia and Bowie State University.
