Testing

Students need to take the ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) if you’re really serious about joining. The ASVAB is designed in four domains:

  • Verbal
  • Math
  • Science/Technical
  • Spatial

Start now by taking practice ASVAB tests

How Important is the ASVAB?

It is VERY important! The AFQT (Armed Forces Qualifying Test) determines if you’re eligible to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces. The AFQT also determines what you’re qualified for in your occupational specialties.

Remember, the higher you score, the more options/chances of getting the specialty you want to pursue!

Did you know that preparing for the military is an approved state graduation pathway? It begins with taking the ASVAB. Find out more on the District’s Graduation Pathways website.
