    Online Registration

Prospective student athletes are required to complete a COVID-19 form and submit a physical exam (current within the past 24 months and signed by the physician). If your student’s physical expires during the season, their registration will not be approved.

Teams meetings and work-out planning will be coordinated using the contact list through FamilyID.

Sports seasons are stilled scheduled to happen in the winter and spring of 2021. Get ahead of the rush and sign into your old account or open a new one if you are signing up on FamilyID for the first time.

Head coaches are urging students to continue to engage in online classes and continue to keep working at raising student grade point averages so that when sports start back up all athletes are eligible. Stay positive and know that many people are working hard to make sports seasons happen in Washington state in ‘20-21.

    Franklin Coach Update

New Head Football coach – At the end of October, Terry Green was named as Franklin’s NEW head football coach. Terry comes to us already a Quaker through and through. He is a graduate of Franklin (class of ‘88), worked at Franklin from 2007 to 2014, and was also an assistant coach for our football team during that time. After that, he had stops as a coordinator for Ballard’s, then Garfield’s football programs and now comes back to his “dream” job of leading our team into a new era. Terry has already held meetings with players and the excitement is high for our participating student athletes. The season is tentatively scheduled to start practices in early March.

Basketball – In October, head men’s basketball coach, Craig Jackson was named Director of Diversity to WIBCA (Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association) an association started by Mercer Island legendary coach Ed Pepple. Craig serving as Director of Diversity is a very prestigious position and gives him a chance to help guide our states high school basketball programs into new territories to support student athlete’s constant challenges. This opportunity for him will add to his already strong resume as a coach in Seattle and Washington state. More information can be found at Go CJ! Go Quakers!

Franklin Head baseball coach Chris Weakely has announced that he is leaving his position here to take the head men’s basketball coaching job at Delta College in Michigan. It is a big step for his career and we are very proud of him. He has worked with not only baseball, but he’s also assisted with basketball and our football programs in his over 6 years being associated with FHS. We wish him much luck and he’s promised to recruit some Quakers soon.

Franklin Football jerseys at Seahawks games – no fans but the Quakers are represented. The Seahawks continue to navigate a season impacted by Covid-19. Fans aren’t allowed at home games, but our local NFL franchise reached out to high schools to have empty seats covered with jerseys from the state’s teams. The Quakers are represented with a bright green jersey and a black jersey that together say, “Franklin Quakers.”

Some say they’ve seen them during games. Keep your eyes open for our FHS jerseys when the cameras pan the stands. Go Quakes!
